The FIFA World Cup is in the final stages of its group stage matches and so far 10 teams have qualified for the Group of 16 with 6 more teams still open.

So first let us know what is Group of 16? The FIFA World Cup is being held in Qatar and 32 teams have qualified to play this World Cup. These 32 teams were divided into 8 different groups and 4-4 teams were kept in each group. In each group, each team faces each other once in a one-head round robin format and the top two teams from each group qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Round of 16 – the first of the knockout stages.

So far 10 teams have qualified for Group of 16 in Qatar FIFA 2022 and those 10 teams are :-
1. France :- The winner of 2018 FIFA World Cup is spreading its charm. By qualifying for Group of 16, France has shown why the world calls them world champions. France beat Australia 4-1 in their first match and started FIFA 2022 with their victory. Qualified for Group of 16 by defeating Denmark 2-1 in the second match.
2. Brazil:- Brazil became the second team to make their place in Group of 16 by winning both their matches. Brazil sealed their opening ticket to the knockouts from Group G by winning their opening two matches (2-0 vs Serbia and 1-0 vs Switzerland) despite star Neymar missing from the squad due to injury.
3. Portugal :- Ronaldo-led Portugal managed to make it to the Group of 16. After winning 3–2 against Ghana, Portugal beat Uruguay 2–0 to put their name in the Group of 16. With the help of 2 goals from Bruno Fernandes, Portugal managed to defeat Uruguay.

4. Netherlands:- Netherlands topped Group A after defeating Senegal and Qatar 2-0 and secured a place in Group of 16 with 7 points.
5. England:- England, popularly known as the Three Lions, defeated Iran by a huge margin of 6-2 and defeated Wales by 3-0. Most goals in FIFA 2022 matches played so far are in the name of England, with the help of these 9 goals, England managed to make a place in Group of 16.
6. Senegal :- With the help of Captain Kalidou Koulibaly's late goal, Senegal managed to beat Ecuador at the Khalifa International Stadium and secured their place in the Group of 16.
7.USA :- After 2 draws of United States managed to go to Group of 16 with the help of Iran. The USA beat Iran 1–0 in their last match and advanced to the knockouts.
8. Australia :- After a crushing defeat to France, the Aussis players showed their spirit and went to Group of 16 by defeating Tunisia and Denmark 1-0.
9. Argentina :- After the upset defeat against Saudi Arabia, Messi's team won their next two matches and entered the Group of 16. With the help of 2 goals from Alexis and Julian, they defeated Poland and made it to the knockout stage.
10. Poland :- "Poland became the winning team even after losing". Poland qualified for the Group of 16 because of the higher goal difference.
