Ronaldo Joined Al Nassr Saudi Club On A Deal Of More Than 200 Million Euros (US$214.04 million)

Portugal football team captain Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Nasr. With this, he has become the highest earning player in the world. After playing for many years in Europe, he will now play for an Asian club Al Nasr. After the end of Ronaldo's contract with his former club Manchester United, there was a lot of speculation about his future, which Ronaldo has now ended.

Ronaldo Joins Al Nasr

Ronaldo, 37, has tied up with Al Nasser till 2025.Five-time Ballon D’or winner signs two-and-a-half-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. He has signed contracts worth more than 200 million Euros (Rs 1775 crores). Football club Al Nasr did not reveal details of the deal, but according to news agency Reuters, Ronaldo has signed a deal for "more than 200 million euros (US$214.04 million)".The Saudi Pro League club announced his joining in a tweet saying: “The world’s greatest athlete officially signed for Al-Nassr.”

The inclusion of Ronaldo will strengthen Al Nasr's team. The club has won nine Saudi Pro League titles and will be eyeing a tenth trophy. This club last became the champion of the league in 2019. Al Nasr's side will now also hope to win the AFC Champions League for the first time.

After signing with Al Nasr, Ronaldo said it was the right time to move to Asia. The preacher, considered one of the best in the world, is going to Asia. Ronaldo indicated that he would continue to play for Portugal despite his early exit at the World Cup in Qatar. However, the 37-year-old Ronaldo will not be able to play for Portugal until the next World Cup. In the same World Cup, he was made to sit on the bench during the knockout matches.

Ronaldo has won most of the major awards in European football. He won three Premier League titles with Manchester United and the Champions League with the FA Cup, two League Cups during his first stint at Old Trafford. Ronaldo re-joins Manchester United in 2021. However, his relationship with Erik ten Haag turned sour and he soon left the club. His exit from the club was confirmed only after his interview with Piers Morgan came to light just before the World Cup.

Ronaldo had a stellar run at Spanish club Real Madrid from 2009–18, where he won two LaLiga titles, two Spanish Cups, four Champions League titles and three Club World Cups. He scored a club record for Real Madrid with 451 goals and has scored over 800 goals for club and country in total. Ronaldo also won two Serie A titles and a Coppa Italia trophy in three years at Juventus.

Ronaldo Joins Saudi Club and says "I am fortunate to have won everything I set out to win in European football and now I feel it is the right time to share my experience in Asia," Ronaldo told Al Nasr.
