Will Messi Play Copa America 2024 | Copa America 2024 Host will be USA



Lionel Messi, the winner of FIFA World Cup 2022 has not yet confirmed his playing in Copa America 2024 which is going to be held in the United States. The tournament will have a total of 16 teams participating out of which 10 teams will be South American’s men's teams and the remaining 6 will be from North, Central American and Caribbean Federation.

Argentina will be seen playing in the 2024 Copa America and Messi will be a part of World Champions. Argentina are the winners of 2021 Copa America and also current World Champions as they have lifted the 2022 FIFA World Cup Trophy. The FIFA World Cup was held in Qatar for the first time and Argentina was the winner of the FIFA World Cup after 36 years.


Cities in which Copa America 2024 will be held are not yet confirmed but as per our assumption the cities will be the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Meanwhile, Lionel Scaloni expressed his desire for the great player for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to compete in the 2026 World Cup. Scaloni declared:


"First of all, we need to save him a spot for the World Cup 2026. If he wants to keep playing, he will be with us. I think he is more than entitled to decide whether he wants to keep playing or what he wants to do with his career."


Lionel Messi’s Argentina has won the Copa America under Lionel Scaloni in 2021 and this was their fifteenth Copa America title and first since 1993. The Copa America 2021 Final was played between Argentina and Brazil where Argentina beat Brazil by 1-0.
