Ferland Mendy was paid an original transfer price of €48 million and €5 million in add-ons by Los Blancos in 2019. In 124 games with the Spanish powerhouses, he has tallied 10 goals and 23 assists. The squad won two La Liga championships and the Champions League last season thanks to Mendy's accomplishments.

According to the Spanish publication Fichajes, Mendy's underwhelming offensive performance persuaded his team to put him up for trade. His contract has more than two years left, and Madrid intends to sell him for €60 million.
