Erik Ten Hag, Cristiano Ronaldo's former Manchester United manager, argued in an interview that the team had moved on from the 37-year-old striker despite the fact that he is currently at the centre of the storm as he competes for his country in the World Cup in Qatar.
Ten Hag refused to talk much about the striker's departure from the club following a contentious interview with Piers Morgan last month when speaking to MUTV, saying, “He’s gone and it’s the past. We are now looking forward and we’re looking to the future.”

In a fiery TV interview, Ronaldo had attacked Manchester United and manager Erik ten Hag, claiming that he felt "betrayed" by the team and that top members had attempted to oust him from Old Trafford.
When asked on the program “Piers Morgan Uncensored” whether United’s hierarchy was trying to force him out of the club, Ronaldo said: “Yes, not only the coach, but another two or three guys around the club. I felt betrayed.”
